Breed standard and show standard grooming - ask for prices
Grooming a show dog is a great responsibility and one which we take pride in. We will groom and finish your dog to your exacting standards and get it in 'show ready' condition for you.

All breeds of dogs taken - small or large
Chihuahua or Great Dane, wire haired smooth coat or long coated dogs, we have the expertise to work with all breeds of dog
Hand stripping - ask for prices
Hand stripping a dog's coat means that you are removing the dead hairs whilst leaving a smooth finish with no clipper marks. Many people prefer to clip as it is less time consuming, however, if the dog is shown or if you want a more traditional looking coat then hand stripping is the way to do it. Hand Stripping is traditionally used for many terrier breeds and certain types of spaniel, e.g. American Cocker Spaniel. If you are preparing a dog for a show it is advisable to strip the coat at least a fortnight before the event for the dog to look its best.
Nail clipping - £2.50
Dogs that regularly exercise or play outdoors will generally need less frequent nail clipping than those kept in the house. When we clip your dogs nails (claw) we are very careful not to cut the blood vessel.
Bathing - £10
A bath is an important part of your dog grooming regime. In order to get the dog clean we lather the coat with a good quality shampoo, then condition the dogs coat to make it easier to groom, soft and shiny. We have medicated shampoos that control tick, and fleas and we always use shampoos that do not strip oil from a dogs coat but add oils to your dogs coat. A bath makes your dog feel good look good and smell great.
Grooming - £25
Brushing out your dog's fur, whether it is long or short, wiry or downy-soft, is an absolute must, not only for appearance's sake, but also to help maintain good hygiene. This helps keep their coat in good condition by removing dirt, spreading the natural oils throughout the coat, preventing tangles from forming and keeping the skin clean and free from irritation. Our grooming services also includes de-matting a dogs coat ina gentle manner. We will also advise on a routine to minimise the risk of your dogs coat becomming matted again.
While brushing out a dog's fur all year long is important, is it particularly important during the two shedding phases, as it helps get rid of the dull, dead fur more quickly. It also saves your house from being over-run by fur-balls!

Clipping and Trimming
If you own a breed of dog with a coat that grows continually – such as a Poodle or a Schnauzer it will and need to be clipped to maintain its shape. Whilst many people are happy to clip their own dogs, a monthly visit is a must for many dog owners to keep their dogs in tip top shape. Clipping and trimming takes practise and requires high quality clippers and scissors to ensure a smooth finish and no chaffing on your dogs skin. Our dog groomer has many years experience and will clip and trim your dog to breed standard or your requirements and ensure your dog has a calm and pleasurable experience.
Ear Cleaning
We remove ear dirt and wax by swabbing the ears with a cotton ball. Then dry out each ear with a dry cotton ball and dust with medicated ear powder. The ear powder helps prevent ear Infections.
Eyes Cleaning
Eye cleaning should not be overlooked as a part of grooming and can vary according to the breed of dog. A dog with protuberant eyes, such as the bulldog, needs to have its eyes cleaned regularly. You should consult your vet if your dogs eyes are red or tender.
Collection service available
If you have transport problems, don't worry, we will collect your pet, carry out your specified grooming routine then return your pet safely to your home.
